Research Overview: Robust System Design Using Architecture and Systems Techniques
CMOS scaling has posed major reliability challenges to a wide range of systems. My research interest is to overcome these reliability challenges by exploiting architecture and systems (operating systems and virtual machine) techniques. My recent research work focuses on an on-line self-test technique called CASP, which allows a system to test itself periodically and concurrent with normal operations, without any visible down time to the end-user.
