Research Overview:  Robust Design Methodologies for Mixed-Domain Electronic Systems

Electronic System Design has become so complex that it can no longer rely on ad-hoc tweaking techniques. A rigorous, technology-aware design discipline is a crucial target to boost productivity and enforce design correctness and robustness. This research focuses on design methodologies and architectures for high performance, heterogeneous integrated systems -including analog and mixed-signal functions- required in consumer electronics and sensor and actuator swarm applications. One of the goal is to establish a structured methodology and a set of platforms for analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems. Moreover, there is an emphasis on creating a seamless tool-flow with current industry CAD tools from system specification to circuit implementation.
