Research Overview: Ultra low-power wearable/implantable biomedical devices
Continuous patient monitoring and closed-loop medical devices are important aspects of advanced healthcare. A major challenge in the design of these systems is the ability of devices to make inferences of complex physiological states from biological signals especially, within a constrained power budget of a hundred microwatts (for implantable devices) up to a few milliwatts (for wearable systems). To this end, I am working on architectural and algorithmic solutions for ultra low-power general biomedical platforms.
