Research Overview: Component-Based Design Space Exploration
For component-based System-on-Chip design, we propose novel design methodologies and tools to explore system-level Pareto fronts, by invoking synthesis tools on individual components. Our goal is to minimize the total number of component synthesis runs for the system-level exploration. We have presented our work for RTL components at DAC-2011. We are currently investigating components specified in high-level languages like SystemC.
