Bio:I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Texas at Austin. My research interest is in the area of programming models for upcoming computing devices that are inherently more unreliable and have relatively large number of soft-errors. Such devices include some of the many-core processors that we are likely to see within the next decade, where we have hundreds or thousands of processing elements, and, given the scale, not all of these are likely to operate properly at a given point in time. In the past I have conducted research on object models for hardware/software co-development, in particular a model called the CHSOM (Common Hardware Software Object Model). My supervisor was originally Prof. Margarida Jacome, and is currently Prof. Brian Evans.

I work full-time at National Instruments Corp. as a Principal Architect in the Architecture and Technology group, and I am currently and Industrial Visitor at UC Berkeley.
