Student Poster Instructions |
|
All students must be included on a poster at the GSRC and MuSyC Annual Reviews. If there is a group poster, only one person will need to register it (but indicate the other researchers involved). *** Poster Deadline – September 9th *** |
|
Each student (or group) will be responsible to submit online, print, laminate and transport the poster to San Jose. |
|
The night before and morning of each of the reviews, the Boardroom (2nd floor, Sainte Claire Hotel) will be designated with a limited number of foam boards and clips/tacks for mounting posters. |

***Posters submitted on time will be judged for each center’s Best Poster Award*** |

Posters MUST measure 40 inches wide by 30 inches high.
You are free to format the contents of your poster as you see fit. All the information in the banner of the templates, however, is required. Specifically,
In laying out your poster, bear in mind that it will be viewed online, in PDF (see below), by the award judging panel, and by other visitors to the GSRC and MuSyC websites, who will have to zoom in to get the details. |

Poster Upload Submission
Submitting Your Poster for Award Consideration & USB Flash Drive Handout Abstracts and Posters MUST be submitted to the publication databases on the GSRC or MuSyC websites: GSRC: http://www.gigascale.org/ or MuSyC http://www.musyc.org (technical -> publications -> Add publication) by Thursday, Sep. 9.
Submission uploads must include:
1) Abstract (Text box on submission site) To facilitate judging of the posters for the Best Poster Award, the abstract you submit with your poster should make clear
Please note if you need to make changes after upload, you will need to contact the administrative staff. **Note that your poster abstract is not to be confused with your research summary which you must enter in your GSRC or MuSyC membership profile(My Account->Profile). **The poster abstract describes your poster, and will appear with it in a catalog of the posters. Your research summary describes what you are about as a grad student, and will appear in a catalog of students.**
2) PDF Poster (File Upload) File Format: Your poster must be uploaded to the GSRC or MuSyC websites as a PDF file. To ensure decent print quality, set the PDF conversion settings for the highest quality available. For example, in MS PowerPoint 2007: Acrobat tab -> Preferences -> Conversion Settings: High Quality Print |

Deadline Posters must be submitted to the GSRC or MuSyC website by Thurs, Sep. 9. Posters submitted after the deadline will not be considered for the Best Poster Award. |

Demos If you plan to present a demo be sure to contact Lori/Stacey of GSRC (ee-office-ce@Princeton.EDU) or Ellen of MuSyC (lenzi@eecs.berkeley.edu) and submit your needs in the registration page by Wed, Sep. 15. |
