Professor Naresh Shanbhag and his colleagues Professor Andrew Singer, Dr. Bae, J. Ashbrook, J. Park, and S. Chopra received the 2006 IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits Best Paper Award for their paper titled "An MLSE Receiver for Electronic Dispersion Compensation of OC-192 Fiber Links" at the 2008 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference, February 4th-7th, San Fransisco, CA.
