Title GSRC Bookshelf for fundamental VLSI CAD problems
Summary To support the GSRC theme of "Understanding Achievable Design", three sub-themes (Ground Truths / Technology Extrapolation, the Bookshelf, and Metrics) are being undertaken.
Description To support the GSRC theme of "Understanding Achievable Design", three sub-themes (Ground Truths / Technology Extrapolation, the Bookshelf, and Metrics) are being undertaken. The Bookshelf improves the effectiveness and the adoption of algorithm research at the leading edge, removing current barriers to entry and access. The GSRC Bookshelf is a repository and a standard for data representations, reference implementations, reference data (benchmarks), standard experimental comparison methodologies -- all of which support research on a given "fundamental VLSI CAD problem". At the same time, the Bookshelf provides flexible access, maintenance and update mechanisms.
